Saw you all for the first time this Friday. What a great performance; what a fun, talented group of guys. Hope you're doing videos. This current group should have it's own sitcom including all the music. The chemistry was great. Arrangements were superb and did a great job featuring the voices of each member. You've got a new fan.......

You guys are my absolute favorite musical act. I love the new talent this year, but I miss Micah and Arjun and Cooper (and all the other great singers from last year). I look forward to your April concert up in New Hampshire! Oh, and Alfredo - you are the most amazing beat boxer I have ever heard. The tee shirts are awesome, I bought one for my friend (another big fan of you guys). I can't wait until I'm old enough to join the group. You guys are awesome!

You young man are outstanding. Friday night's performance was great. When you leave one of your concerts we all feel happy and inspired as you radiate such warmth, respect for each other and fun. Seeing all the alumni was great as I was unable to go Saturday but hope it was a huge success which I know it would be. Look forward to next Fruday. Great idea the t-shirts. Will get one next week

Hey Guys, I came to see you last week with my mom in Chatham. I didn't know what to expect, because as some others have mentioned, I was more familiar with the old group of about 6 or 7 years ago, when you first did your Woodstock VT shows- ( yes, I admit, at that time my friends and I did consider ourselves groupies...)Anyways, I thought you guys did a fabulous job and you are just as talented and hilarious as ever! Thanks for a great show and enjoy the summer in the best place in the East.

In complete agreement with Isabeau. Although I believe it was '98 that I first started coming to Sound concerts with my family. I'm not sure if I could ever be classified as a groupie though, haha.

Yet again, this summer finds me working too much and playing too little. I've only had a chance to see you guys once this season and it was wonderful as usual. Hopefully I'll be able to get out again before too long!

Hope all y'all are having a fantastic time this summer. Stay hydrated

hey guys,
i just wanted to say how much i really enjoyed your show. i was visiting the cape last week from central NY and to be honest, at first when i heard we were going to some show with guys who sing acapella i wasn't too exited but when you started singing it was so amazing, there were many a times when i had chills it was so good. you guys are really unique in that you have people beat boxing and making drum sounds to make the song even better, and i really liked that. Don't worry I'm not gunna be one of those crazy girl groupies that I'm sure you have quite a few of but i'll def. look out for you guys if i ever come back to cape cod. best of luck!!

maggie

p.s nice choice with the saosin song its one of my favorites! and patrick you did a great job singing it

Hope you are having a wonderful summer, and I Look forward to meeting all the members of Hyannis Sound.

Brian is very adorable and geeky and I think that he should notice me more. I am Hilarity Clinton after all...If he noticed me more than I would like that a lot. I think I like Brian O Shaughnessy is very attractive when he sings that song Zack and Sara. Sara is spelled in that way because it does not have an H. Brian should look at me, Hilarity Clinton, when he sings because EVERYONE should notice Hilarity Clinton....

*sigh* Maybe someday Brian will talk to me.....

Hilarity Clinton loves you Brian!

So, I just had a few realizations that made me feel very old:

1- I was 16 when I became an official Hyannis Sound groupie... It was the group of 2001. Hyannis Sound was HALF as old as it is now.

2- I am now the age that most of the "old guys" were when I BECAME a Hyannis Sound Groupie.

3- I know only TWO of the current HySo guys and most of the ones I DO know have office jobs, are married, or parents!

4- Most of the current HySo members are 4-5 years younger than me!!

Ahh!! I was really hoping to come up and catch the alumni show to see some of my "generation" haha but I won't make it! I WILL however be up to see you youngin's the week after! Cant wait to see the "oldies" and meet the "newbies".

And for those of you guys that have no idea WHO i am... that's ok. It just makes me feel a little older

xo

I especially want to thank Jeff for introducing to me and others, the wonderful Ben Folds song, I Am the Luckiest. I know you have a large repertoire, but giving that song someextra hearings would be a great service to your fans.

Rob made a pitch about his wonderful blog. So, where the hell is it?

Keep on trucking.

I love everyone's singing voices and wanted to tell you how amazing your preformance was. Everywhere you went the next day, all you could hear was how everyone loved Hyannis Sound. You guys will always be loved at PCC, and I hope I can make another one of your concerts this summer. Have a blast this summer! I know I will!

Posted by Nate (naltimarjp at gmail.com) on June 14, 2008:
I think you guys should do more songs without music. There has been entirely too much music at your shows. If you could work on reducing the amount of comedy and dancing, and focus more on barbershop and doo-wop, you know, the GOOD capelo music, your fans (me included) would actually start to like you.

smarten up.

You may or may not have noticed this already, but the updated bios and answers don't correlate. Phil's dream job is "Aladdin, Peter Pan, and Belle." Jeff's people you admire is "people who aren't genuine." Dave's favorite sports team is "Summer." It's actually really, really funny.

In fact, it was the best performance I could found on youtube. Therefor I visited your site and I see you have a lot of albums. Is there a possebility of having one send over the ocean?
With swinging greeting, Nicole

You are amazing! I am a middle school vocal music teacher in Bala Cynwyd , PA. (not too far from KUTZTOWN!) I came to hear your concert on the Cape 8/16/07........my mom and step-father have been raving to me about you for at least two years.......it was fabulous. One of the best concerts I've ever attended. My 14-year-old son who "doesn't like acapella music" was blown away by the amazing singing! It was so inspiring to see young amazing musicians.....who are excellent. THANK YOU! I wish you all the best, and am looking forward to hearing future concerts. One of our favorites (although they were all so great.....) was "I Can See Clearly......" WHAT A VOICE! Micah, we're sorry we didn't hear you last summer....... You are all to be commended for your outstanding ensemble.

We are Grindell's Fans, My 3 year old daughter was asked what something special did you do on your summer vacation. Emily's 1st day at pre-school she asked her teacher at circle if she could sing Bap, Bap, Bap, Bap, Yadi Yadi Ya! and the teacher told Emily she did not know that song. Emily being a tad bit frustrated put her hands on her hips and said Well how about Uptown girl??? and started to sing alone in the middle of her circle of friends, the lyrics to the song word for word. The teacher at pick up time told me it was by far one of her most funny moments teaching and she see a shining star in Emily!!! My children are ages 16, 13 and 3 and everday in the family car we rotate your Cd's and we all have our favorites!!

Thanks for all you do, We all love you and appreciate your talent.

Cake also stands for Chris Rich + Blake = CAKE. The fan club. CAKE!! So I wanted to email Brian, but he doesn't have an email address posted ... =(

My 6 year old daughter, Natalie and I saw one of your performances 2 years ago but unfortunately missed you last year. I am thrilled that you are singing in Brewster and we will be attending one of your performances, if not two. Even at 6 years old, Natalie is completely entertained and thinks that you boys are the funniest. We have been long awaiting for the summer to come to see you all again.

Hey guys, thanx for making mowing lawns for the summer seem that much more enjoyable after your performance friday night. Seriously you have to get your act together. Oh and thanx Micah for making me fight my feminine side off during your incredibly sad Bonnie Raitte solo. If you were a girl that made me feel like crying i wouldn't hate myself so much, but seriously I hate you for that. Bri and Rob, good job being the goofiest human beings on the planet as always. Good luck on the CD... don't cry Rob. Good luck without my talkabouts

So, totally random. It's 4 o'clock on a rainy Friday afternoon and I'm bored at work. I'm reading through some of these comments and I come, what is this? Lots of capitilization and exclamation points? So, I'm reading along about how there's NOT GOING TO BE ANYMORE HYANNIS SOUND EVER!!!!!!!!! and am annoyed at the over-excessive use of caps and exclamation points. (Biggest pet peeve: using exclamation points after every sentence). Then I read Rob's response of CAPITALIZATION AND EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!!!!!

Anyway, very long way of saying it made me laugh and brightened my day.

I've been meaning to do this a while now, and my wife has repeatedly reminded me "you should write the Sound.." I'd liek to explain to you what an amazing experience we had one Thursday evening in July. Our friends, who summer at the Cape, enlightened us to the Hyannis Sound. My wife, my then four month old daughter Tess, and I were escorted to the Cape Cod Church by our two wonderful hosts, Jeff and Norma.

We didn't know what to expect -- not so much from the performance -- but from the fact that we had a four month old with us. My wife and I were scared to death that Tess would open up right in the middle of the performance and ruin it for everyone. It turns out that Tess, who was seated on my wife's lap along the inside aisle, could not stop staring at the guys performing. Whe was totally interacting with each of their movements and received as much enjoyment as we. The evening couldn't have gotten any better, but the last song on the list was the Irish Blessing, which was sung so unbelievebly well, that the slow and precise harmony literally lulled my daughter to sleep. An absolute perfect testament to the song, the performance and the evening as a whole.

Thanks for making a great memory for my family guys!

Best regards and luck to all of you.
